Abstract

Aviation Trail, Inc., began in 1981 as an aviation-themed marketing effort in Dayton, Ohio. Initially including over 30 historical sites in the Miami Valley area relating to aviation history, a small self-guided tour brochure highlighting 16 sites was published. As of 2019, the Trail includes 18 sites.

Abstract The Dayton Air Service Incorporated Committee was incorporated November 14th, 1922 as the legal successor to a previous voluntary committee led by Frederick B. Patterson, son of John H. Patterson. Abstract The Wright Company was formed in November 1909 with Wilbur Wright as President and Orville Wright one of two Vice-Presidents. In 1915, Orville sold the company to a group of investors, which later merged the company with the Martin Company.
