Abstract

Founded in 1921 with an endowment from the National Cash Register Company and John H. Patterson, the Dayton Foundation serves as a public trust fund and distributes grants to various community organizations and projects. Records consist of minutes of the Distribution Committee, financial records, annual reports, correspondence, and printed materials.

Abstract This collection is comprised of papers, photographs, and awards concerning Frederick Coe Smith’s work at the Huffman Manufacturing Company as President and Chairman of the Board from 1951 until his retirement in 1976, as well as his work in leadership positions of local civic organizations until 2007. Abstract

The Upper River Fund was an endowment fund established in 1992 by Glenn Thompson and his wife Margaret, to preserve the upper Little Miami and the Mad Rivers. The collection contains meeting minutes and correspondence; financial records and reports, records from easement agreements to buy/sell agreements; and some photographs of prospective areas of land and topographical maps that outline easements along the upper Little Miami and Mad Rivers.
