Abstract

The Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW), founded in 1929, is the smaller, state representation of the larger National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW). Today OFRW is a volunteer based organization which seeks to support and cultivate Republican women of all ages in the state of Ohio. This collection contains the organization’s meeting minutes, member lists, correspondence, reports, fundraising materials, programs, photographs, awards, newsletters, and newspaper clippings.

St. Elizabeth Hospital Records

Abstract The St. Elizabeth Hospital Records document the growth and expansion of the Franciscan Health Network in Dayton. The hospital was established in 1878 and founded as Dayton's first community hospital by the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor. Expansion and construction began in 1882 and continued throughout the hospital's existence. The collection includes photographs and negatives documenting this development overtime. Scrapbook of newspaper clippings, programs, first day issue Wright Brothers stamps, invitations, and photographs documenting Ellis Wright’s participation in the 45th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on December 17, 1949. Ellis Wright was a first cousin to Wilbur and Orville Wright.
