The bulk of the collection consists of meeting minutes of Local 654 and of its regional body, Joint Council 61. Also prominent in the collection are a run of bulletins from the Ohio Conference of Teamsters dating 1950-1951. Some correspondence, dues records, photographs, and miscellaneous items are included. Local 654 was headquartered in Springfield, Ohio.

The records of the Springfield Typographical Union No. 117 cover the period 1901 1976 and consist of minutes of regular meetings, minutes of various committees, including the Business Committee, correspondence, conference reports, and material concerning strikes and lockouts.
