Scope and Content

The Charles and Grace Bost Collection consists primarily of correspondence between Charles and Grace Bost of Springfield, Ohio. Charles entered the service in July of 1942 and was stationed in Tennessee while Grace remained in Springfield.

There are a total of 67 letters in this collection (29 from Charles and 38 from Grace). Most of the envelopes contain little messages written on the inside of them.

Biography of Charles and Grace Bost

Charles and Grace Bost lived in Springfield, Ohio, during World War II. Charles entered the service in July 1942 and served in Tennessee. They had one daughter, Connie, who was born during the war. Grace worked as a teacher, and Charles also worked in the education field before and after the War. Grace died in 1976, and Charles died in 1997.
