Series I: Financial Records

This series consists of various financial records. Files 1-3 contain Treasurer's Reports and Budgets 1988-1994. Included in File 2 are the Bylaws of the Ohio Nutrition Council. File 4 contains a cash book dated 1968-1984, 1990-1993. File 5-8 contain Bank Statements and Proposed Budgets dates 1978-1988. The bank statements are included due to the scarcity of financial records prior to 1988.

Series II: Correspondence

This series consists of various types of correspondence between members of the organization. File 9 contains a variety of correspondence materials including: letters, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and handouts dating from 1991-1994. Of particular interest in this file is the correspondence concerning the 1994 demise of the Dayton Area Nutrition Council. File 10 contains letters and handouts from 1992.

Series III: Miscellaneous

This series consists of a variety of materials. File 11 contains a little of everything including various financial records, correspondence, agendas, and bylaws 1981-1986.

History of Dayton Area Nutrition Council

The Dayton Area Nutrition Council was a chapter of the Ohio Nutrition Council, a network of individuals representing many diverse organizations, institutions, agencies, businesses, universities, and colleges all concerned about the nutritional health and well-being of Ohio citizens.

Acquisition Information

The Dayton Area Nutrition Council Collection was accessioned into the Wright State University Department of Special Collections and Archives on December 20, 1994. The collection was donated by former treasurer Jane H. Pacifico.
