Scope and Contents

The collection contains an official statement detailing the stockholders of the First National Bank of Troy, Ohio, at the request of the auditor of Miami County, Ohio. The document notes the names and residences of each stockholder in the bank. It also notes the number of shares owned by each individual, as well as the monetary value of those shares. Many stockholders listed lived in Troy and surrounding areas like Piqua, or simply Miami County. A few stockholders, however, lived in Indiana and California. Stockholders include men as well as women, and several individuals appear to be members of the same family. The statement is signed by both the bank president, H. W. Allen, and cashier, J. L. Merideth, and witnessed by the county auditor, George C. Clyde.
