The collection consists of 1 book, Goop Tales (by Gelett Burgess), which is a collection of children’s poems and short stories on good manners and proper etiquette. Burgess’ is credited for adding such words as blurb, bromide, and goop into the English language. The book was given by Katharine Wright to Elizabeth Rehling (nee Beck) upon her birth in 1916. It is inscribed for Betty Beck from Aunt Katharine. Elizabeth is the daughter of Agnes Beck a friend of Katharine Wright. Orville, Wilbur, and Katharine Wright would read this book to their nieces and nephews and call them goops when they misbehaved.
