A temporary bridge construction and damaged buildings on opposite side of the waterway, probably in France, circa 1919-circa 1925
Scope and Contents
On the left side of the photograph, the bridge approach is made of stone, while the rest of the bridge appears to be made of wood and of a temporary nature. Buildings on the opposite side of the waterway, particularly those nearest to the bridge's other end, have roof damage. The words "L'Avenir De L'Aisne" (a French newspaper) can be seen on a building near the right side of the photo. Based on these details, the photo is believed to show damage from World War I bombing in France.
