Scope and Contents

The hotel appears to be identified (via signage on the front) as the "Hotel Suisse Terminus." A sign on the roof of the streetcar reads "Barriera Lanzo." Based on this information, the photo is believed to have been taken in or near Turin (Torino), in northern Italy.
