Abstract
The Peerless Mayfield Collection consists of more than 500 contact prints by aerial photographer William Preston Mayfield (1896-1974). The collection consists of photographs taken by Dayton photographer William Preston Mayfield of Dayton scenes of the Flood of 1913, advertising images, building interiors and exteriors, street scenes, and people. The collection is close in provenance to MS-269, the Caporale Mayfield Collection. Many of the images in both collections are of similar subjects...
