*Note: In the Diary Oliver spells his last name with an s but in the family records it is spelled with a z. It is unclear which one is correct.

Abstract The collection contains a variety of archival documents from the administrative office and departments of University Libraries. The materials document the history of the library back to the beginning of the university, and the libraries’ growth from a small resource room to a major academic research library. Scope and Contents

The Special Collections and Archives Departmental Records Collection contains the archival administrative files of the department, including program development files, collection records, publications, event and publicity files, and the various director’s subject files dating back to the beginning of the program. The collection contains only permanent historical records.
