Cecil, the Lincoln Society of Dayton seeks to encourage the appreciation of the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln, and the role that he played in American History and Society. Abstract Bernard Lindenbaum was an aeronautical engineer with the Air Force Flight Dynamics Laboratory (AFFDL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio from the mid-1940s until the mid-1970s. Abstract

The collection contains program guides, brochures, posters, and artwork detailing movies shown at the Little Art Theatre of Yellow Springs, Ohio over more than fifty years. Also included are numerous promotional photos sent to the theatre from film distributors and studios. The Little Art Theatre was one of a network of small theatres that screened mainly foreign and independent films.

A child’s letter written to a friend in Xenia, Ohio. The letter written to Hodge (unclear as to if this is the recipient’s first or last name) expressing his concerns and thoughts about school. Dated December 11, 1876.

Abstract

In 1967, the Dayton Board of Education received a grant to promote the creativity and self-expression of its students (grades five through twelve) through creative writing, drama, dance, music and visual arts. The collection consists of administration papers, newspaper and magazine articles, publicity pamphlets, and photographs.

Scope and Contents

V-mail written by Kress home and photocopies of newspaper clippings, both from 1945 and from 1995, as part of a retrospective series. Kress witnessed the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri.

Abstract

The bulk of records in this collection were generated by the Socialist Party organization in Dayton from 1901-1924 and include membership meeting minutes, the minutes of various committees, financial records, and a listing of new members for the years 1906-1908 and 1912-1917. Also included is a small collection of Socialist Party literature, some state and national Party materials, and a miscellaneous collection of notices, handbills, correspondence, and photographs.

Collection consists of various land deeds, contracts, and other government records from the early 1800s.
