Abstract Orville and Wilbur Wright never constructed a complete set of drawings for any of their flyers or gliders. In the mid-1940s, friend of the Wright's, Edward Deeds, commissioned Louis P. Christman, to complete, not only a set of drawings for the famous 1903 Flyer, but also the 1900, 1901, and 1902 Gliders, and the 1903 and 1904 Flyers. Abstract

The Seymour Dunham Collection contains personal correspondence of Mr. Dunham, information on aviation organizations to which he belonged, aircraft and missile research, work-related research from his time at Wright-Patterson AFB, and an extensive collection of articles, newspaper clippings and photographs concerning the Wright Brothers and other aspects of aviation history.

Abstract

The collection consists of nine bound volumes of patent litigation records for the lawsuits that the Wright Company brought against the Herring-Curtiss Company and Glenn H. Curtiss, Louis Paulhan, and Claude Grahame-White. These are the personal copies of the Wrights’ lawyer, Harry A. Toulmin, and the books contain many handwritten notes.
