Levitt Luzern Custer was a Dayton-area aviator and inventor, and an associate of Orville Wright. During his lifetime he engaged in pioneering balloon experiments, served as an official timer for flight trials, collaborated with Orville Wright on various projects, and invented a wide range of mechanical machines from the statoscope to amusement park rides. Hans Dam was a 50-year collector of aviation memorabilia, especially photographs and newspaper and magazine clippings. His primary areas of interest included air races and air shows, early flight, WACO aircraft, and the history of aviation in southwestern Ohio and northern Kentucky. The Dayton Peace Process was an offshoot of the Dayton Peace Accords that brought an end to the fighting in the former Yugoslavia. The Peace Process worked to bring Miami Valley businesses in contact with clients in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and several other eastern European countries. Eventually Dayton: A Peace Process became the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. The first Peace Prize was awarded to President Bill Clinton.
