The Glenn Curtiss Collection of Early Aviation Photographs contains 174 photographs and photographic postcards showing the development of Glenn Curtiss' aviation and aircraft construction careers between 1908 and 1915. Landmark events in Curtiss' career, such as the 1910 Euclid Beach flight in Cleveland and the 1914 rebuild of the Langley Aerodrome, are featured in the collection. Abstract
This collection consists of an individual's scrapbook containing clippings and other memorabilia pertaining to the Fulton Flight Contest sponsored by the Aero Club of America in New York in 1909. Included are announcements of the contest, promotional material and entry form, news clippings describing the contest, commemorative postcards and information on preparation by the aviators. The scrapbook is unbound and the pages housed in three boxes.

The collection compiled by William H. Peters and given to Lieutenant Colonel John Glenn includes 53 photographs of famous aviators and aircrafts from the beginning of man-powered flight through the late 1930s.
